What is krill oil?

Krill are shrimp-like creatures from the Southern Ocean near Antarctica. Krill are at almost the very bottom of the food chain and therefore offer the purest Omega-3 fatty acids. Krill oil is lower in Omega-3 than fish oil, but because it is a different form of Omega-3 (phospholipids), krill oil is easily absorbed. 

Mattisson krill oil capsules

Mattisson krill oil contains 155 mg Omega 3 per 2 capsules, of which 100 mg pure EPA and 55 mg pure DHA. 

The krill was caught sustainably and has a Friends of the Sea (FOS) certificate for this.

What is omega 3?

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids. The body cannot produce these fatty acids itself and must obtain them from food. There are three types of omega-3 fatty acids: Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). ALA is found in plant-based products, such as flaxseed oil, walnut oil, and chia seed oil. EPA and DHA are mainly found in fatty fish.

Use and storage

1-2 times daily 1 capsule during or after a meal. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Take capsules with water. Not suitable for children under 14 years of age.

Store in a cool, dry, and sealed place. Keep out of reach of children.
